TUNNELS & CIVIL WORKS
From the TBM to operation: the tunnel that communicates.
Communications, monitoring, and safety for road and rail tunnels under construction. We satisfy both the regulations and the operation. No pauses to rewire from scratch.
REGULATIONS & CONSTRUCTION
RD 635/2006 rules. So does the job site.
Road tunnels longer than 500 m are subject to RD 635/2006: mandatory safety equipment, two-way communications with the control center, detection systems, 24/7 monitoring.
Rail tunnels and civil-works tunnels have their own frameworks. And they all share one thing: during construction you have to communicate with the TBM, the crews, and the shift supervisor, and the final network can't wait until the job is finished.
We design the infrastructure that covers both phases. Provisional during construction. Permanent at the end. Without throwing anything away.
One architecture, two lives.
CAPABILITIES
Six layers that keep the tunnel running during construction and in operation.
The six capabilities of any critical project, fitted to the regulations and the pace of civil works.
01
Communications on an active site
TBM, crews, shift supervisor, and offices connected with voice and data. Coverage coordinated with the advance of the face.
Communication that has to be there.
02
Occupancy and access control
Who comes in, who goes out, in which vehicle, and under what authorization. Real-time roster for any incident.
The first thing you ask when something goes wrong.
03
Video and perimeter monitoring
IP cameras at portals, service galleries, and technical rooms. Onboard analytics and unified operation.
See it to react in time.
04
Environmental Monitoring
Air quality, ventilation, and technical variables in every bay. Integration with SCADA and with the operation.
Detect before, not after.
05
Optical and radio infrastructure
Our own backbone fiber, radiating cable in the gallery, wireless connectivity where the line doesn't reach.
You design the foundation once, and well.
06
RD 635/2006 compliance
Communication with the control center, emergency public address, redundancy where the regulation requires.
Compliance starts at the design stage.
METHODOLOGY
Four phases so the tunnel complies and operates.
Designed to fit the pace of civil works and the rigor of regulatory compliance.
01
Design with an auditor
Coordination with the tunnel safety manager from day one. An executable project that meets the regulations and the project budget.
02
Phased deployment
Provisional infrastructure for construction, permanent for operation. Without scrapping the cabling between the two.
03
Integration
Communication, supervision, occupancy control, and regulatory compliance talking to each other from the first test.
04
Operation
Maintenance, periodic drills, expansions, and support for any incident. Your tunnel is never left on its own.
